Lincoln Park Row House Kitchen & Bath
This vintage Belden home in Chicago, reimagined in collaboration with 2RZ Architecture, centers around a bold and refined kitchen located within a striking contemporary addition. Designed to contrast and complement the existing vintage structure, the new space embodies modern elegance with a monochromatic black-and-white palette. At its core are Aster Cucine Black and White Fenix cabinets—self-healing and fingerprint-resistant—paired with luxurious Perla Grigio Quartzite countertops and a full-height backsplash sourced from Terrastone Marble. A custom matte black hood anchors a full Thermador appliance suite, while large-format porcelain tile flooring adds durability and sophistication.
The kitchen’s layout was thoughtfully planned to maximize openness, natural light, and connection to the surrounding living spaces, achieving a seamless flow between the historic and modern portions of the home. Every detail—from built-in outlets to custom-designed storage—reflects a purposeful blend of contemporary function and timeless style.
The primary bath continues the theme of refined simplicity, featuring Aster Cucine cabinetry in White matte lacquer paired with large-format porcelain floor and wall tile from Transceramica. Black plumbing fixtures from Artos and Brizo add striking contrast and a modern edge, while a stone-ledged shower offers a spa-like focal point.
Additional spaces include a whimsical powder room adorned with playful monkey wallpaper and a highly functional pantry with stone-wrapped shelving and integrated outlets. Custom glass doors and the seamless addition further reinforce the home’s balance of modern innovation and vintage charm.
